Xbox and Crystal Dynamics launches the highly-anticipated Rise of the Tomb Raider in North America. The game will launch across Europe, and Japan later this week. The title is a timed exclusive to the Xbox One this holiday 2015.
This time, Lara Croft searches for answers about her father’s past and the secrets he was chasing. One, specifically, was his quest to find immortality. This will take her to mountains where one bad step can spell doom. This game is going to focus a bit more on the namesake of the title, by including the actual raiding of tombs. While the last game had them, it wasn’t truly the focus. This time around, the Tomb Raider lives up to her name.
As an additional incentive, anyone who plays the game from November 10th thru November 30th will receive the coveted golden Rattlesnake Revolver Skin. Additionally, to commemorate the launch in Lara’s home town of London, England, eight daring fans will be competing in an endurance test like none other – the Survival Billboard. Exposed to the challenges of the wild atop a billboard in central London, contestants will face arctic cold, intense wind, wild snowstorms and sudden heat as voted by the public. From Thursday, November 12 at 1PM GMT viewers can tune into the livestream at survivalbillboard.com and vote on the elements the competitors will be subjected to. This is just one of multiple global events celebrating the epic adventure that awaits fans in Lara’s new adventure.
