Xbox One gamers have been enjoying the EA Access subscription program for little over a year. This program allowed Xbox One owners access to games before launch, discounts on digital purchases, and an ever growing vault of EA games you can play as long as you keep your subscription going.
Looks like this method was such a success that EA plans to bring it to their PC service, Origin. The new service called Origin Access will run you $4.99/€3.99/£3.99 a month. At this time, there doesn’t seem to be a yearly $29.99 price that is available to EA Access. Subscribers to Origin Access will be able to play EA games and trials ahead of launch, similar to the ten hour trial offered on EA Access through the Xbox One. Unlike EA Access, Origin Access will also include Third Party games in the vault.
Here’s a list of games being added to the Vault at launch:
Battlefield 3 SE
Battlefield 4 Digital Deluxe Edition
Battlefield Hardline Digital Deluxe Edition
Dead Space 2
Dead Space 3
Dragon Age 2 SE
Dragon Age Inquisition Digital Deluxe Edition
Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition
FIFA 15 SE
NFS: Rivals Complete Ed.
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare
SimCity (2013) SE
The Sims 3 Starter Pack
This War of Mine (Third party)
EA Origin subscribers will be granted a 10% discount on full games, DLC, and more through the Origin Store.
The new service will initially launch in the US, UK, Germany and Canada. The official launch date has yet to be announced. So, will you sign up for Origin Access? Let me know in the comments!
