Fortnite Early Access Revealed Six Years After Initial Announcement

Fortnite, an Epic Games developed title, was first revealed in December of 2011. Yet, everything went silent for the title the last few years. Many felt the title was discontinued outright. Then two years ago, limited PC alpha access started to happen. It has been a long road for Fortnite, but it now seems ready to take center stage again.
Fortnite is the Action Building game from Epic Games coming to PlayStation 4 in paid Early Access on July 25. The game focuses on exploring a world overrun by zombie-like monsters created by a mysterious storm. Build huge forts, craft exotic weapons, find loot and level up your Heroes. Take on the Storm with four player online co-op.
My time with Fortnite during the PC alpha was limited. Yet, I did see a lot of potential. It is part Minecraft, and part co-op hero shooter. You take on waves of monsters, and the style is very cartoonish with an upbeat personality. I’ll dive back into the alpha soon to see what has changed. Overall, it is good to see this title finally stepping into the limelight.
