Fortnite’s PvE “Horde Bash” Update Arrives October 5

Epic Games has announced the “Horde Bash Update” for Fortnite’s “Save the World” PvE mode on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac. Available on October 5, the mode delivers an all-new “Challenge the Horde” gameplay mode, a new in-game event, new heroes, weapons, questions, and more! You can join the paid Early Access now, or wait until the game goes Free-to-play in early 2018.

Challenge The Horde Mode

In this new PvE mode, you’ll have unlimited time, but limited resources to build a portable horde fort. Once you’ve designed the perfect fort, exit the staging area and party with up to three friends. Your forts will be ready for action when your team hits the ground. As you survive, you’ll receive more resources and more rewards to Challenge The Horde.

Scavenger Event

With the new update comes a new event llama. The Scavenger Llamas holds four new Heroes, nine weapons, two new Defenders. Earn the Scavenger currency by completing quests and playing the new Challenge The Horde mode. The Scavenger weapon set is delicate, but they’re all cheap to craft.

Looks like the Fortnite teams has been busy adding more modes to their PvE and their newly launches PvP Battle Royale. Only time will tell where their focus will end up, but for now, it’s good to see more modes coming. I now await what they have in store for the Battle Royale mode.
